Real kidneys vs dialysis machines: Not even close.

Did you know your kidneys filter around 1,300 liters of blood per week?
That’s like running your entire blood supply through a Brita... every 40 minutes.

Now compare that to dialysis.
Even with three 4-hour sessions a week, a dialysis machine only filters about 250 liters total.

That’s less than 20% of what healthy kidneys handle.
And somehow we expect it to do the same job.
